Wild Pickings is a small rural business run by Jade Mellor, a professional forager for over eight years. Jade collects wild food from the beautiful hedgerows, woodlands and coast of West Wales. Picking what is seasonally abundant, with care and sensitivity, always leaving plenty to go to seed and for the birds.
Jade is inspired by the landscape, the changing seasons and the wild bounty of blossoms, leaves, fruits and seaweeds, which she uses to create delicious and unique food.
Jade runs a variety of seasonal wild food workshops and courses, with a focus on practical learning with a good mixture of foraging, eating and cooking. These run throughout the year at various locations (for more details go to www.wildpickings.co.uk)
