The New Arenig School.

The New Arenig School is a small group of Pembrokeshire artists painting/photographing at landmarks and landscapes across the UK, influenced by the working practices adopted by the great artists Augustus John and James Dickson Innes, while they lived and worked near Arenig (Bala, Snowdonia) in the years 1910 -1913.
The BBC4 documentary ‘The Mountain that had to be Painted’ shows many of these influences and can be found via this link :
The New Arenig School is comprised of artist Barry John MBE and photographer Aeron Harries, both descendants of Augustus John....and Landscape/seascape artist, Anna Waters. All painting adventures across the UK are filmed by Kristian Kane of Fine Rolling Media.
